I also believe the impact of an Obama administration is finding it's way into the price of oil stocks. The only reason the gas prices are so high is because of money. People have money, they are willing to spend it on gas, the people that own gas companies are willing to make the money, investors are willing to pay more for gas futures, and everybody is happy, right???

The price of oil per barrel is as high as ever, $77 or so. Also, when there is news about some oil shortage, most currently the BP pipeline repairs, these same investors see opportunity and the oil futures shoot up again.
Now, high prices of crude oil translates to high prices for oil refineries. This translates to higher prices for gas companies (not as high as we are paying), which means high prices at the pump. But it seems nobody cares because people still buy gas. There are just as many SUV's, full sized trucks, people taking driving vacations, people driving to recreation (beach, parks, amusment parks, malls) as ever. It's supply and demand. People are using the gas, which everything after going to work, the store, and church is a luxury, and the gas companies are able to charge more for it.
It really isnt that we need help from the government. We need help from ourselves. We dont go out and spend $100 once a week on a steak from Ruth Chris because it is frivolous, yet we complain that $100 a week for gas is too much while we are driving all over town trying to find somewhere else to eat.

In the past, we just assumed that nothing was down there because we couldn't see anything but one day, they decided to just drill anyways and they hit oil. Now we realize that just because we don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there.
Efforts are being made with more and more computers, with sound and receiver sources that are very far apart to try and see under the sheets from the sides (we're talking about trying to look under the salt sheets in the Gulf of Mexico from the coast of Africa) and just about anything we can think of to look through the salt (generally we call it reverse time migration which basically means more thorough than we've done so far).
Meanwhile, the estimates of the oil reserves that's under the sheets vary incredibly. It is possible for huge oil reserves to be found under the sheets but it's also likely that the estimates are artificially inflated in order to attract investment.
Such sheets exist in a lot of coastal areas such as the ';find'; off the coast of Rio de Janeiro and the ';find'; off the east coast of Canada, both of which have been estimated to be larger than the oil fields of the middle east. It is good news, but the find is not sufficient to achieve energy independence and here is why:
1) It is uncertain if current technology has the capability to reach the depth of the find;

3) It is estimated that the field will yield 300,000 barrels a day, which is only about 1.5% of the United States' daily consumption. At a 300,000 barrel a day production rate the field will at best have a 27-year life expectancy, which is not very long;
4) It may take upwards to 10-years before the field is in production.
Is great news? Absolutely hydrocarbon based energy will be around for many more years to come, even with the shift to alternative energy sources.
However, in a mean time we must aggressively pursue the reduction of energy consumption regardless of whether that energy source is hydrocarbon based or not.
I think it's horrible news. It will just prolong our broken way of life, as well as contribute to further global warming. If we did something with the energy aside from stuff our collective craws with fatty foods in our gas-slurping SUV's on our fifth trip to Wal-Mart for oversized bags of Cheez-Doodles and (ironically) Diet Soda, I might be happy.

There are quite a few etfs linked to oil. OIL is one but I think it should be avoided. VDE is another. It holds large U S oil company stocks. RYE is an equal weight energy fund. You get an equal share in multiple oil and energy companies. It unlike most is not capitalization weighted, an important distinction. IXC is a global energy fund. It is cap weighted. XOM is 18% of its holdings. DKA perhaps is closest to what you might desire. It is an international energy etf. Its largest holdings are Shell, BP, and Total accounting for 30% of its holdings. You can buy oil directly in the market if you are interested in taking advantage of the oil price movement itself rather than the oil companies shares, Brent Crude and West Texas Crude being the two main markets. it have something to do with the keyboard maping.
what I did was restore all the key binding to default and and restared a new game..
when I got to that room part I just press H to heal myself. and then I';m done..
before I had the H maped to another button and no matter what buttons I press it won't heal....
after I'm healed I remapped the keys back to my setting.
hope no more of thse bugs starts up again.

Well technically Scotland set him free on grounds of ';compassion'; because he has terminal cancer. I wonder why they feel he deserves this compared to other prisoners...it isn't exactly standard practice to reconsider someone's jail term because they are terminally ill, is it?(someone please correct me if I am wrong here). We don't yet know what the exact involvement of the Labour party was and we probably won't unless and until there is an inquiry into it. We do know that documents have been leaked with details of negotiations that went on between the British Labour party and Libyan government about 2 years ago on sending Libyan prisoners back home in exchange for some oil deal and Scotland apparently knew that the Lockerbie bomber was on that list. We also know that Scotland consulted Labour before taking the decision and they did not object. I think that there are too many suspicious facts for there not to have been some kind of deal going on behind the curtains. What exactly I don't know. I just feel that Brit. gov is inextricably linked to this decision and I also think that it would not have been taken without Labour's support or at least input. I recently had my purse stolen. Although I immediately canceled my two debit cards (I have no credit cards) the person was able to use one card at a gas station. My bank told me I had to take up a dispute with BP before I could even talk to them. I have no idea if I should contact the individual store, BP as a whole, or someone else. All I have is the store number (BP OIL 1077551). I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me locate a direct way to contact whoever it is I'm supposed to be contacting.
Also, if there is any other advice you could give me to prevent further identity theft (I've so far just cancelled everything and then placed my name on alert with the major credit bureaus) I would be very greatful for that as well. Everyone has jumped up and down in the USA blaming Scotland for the mass murderer's release, based on the word of one doctor, contrary to the opinion of others, that he had less than three months to live, even talked of boycotting Scottish made goods, etc. As I suspected all along, it was London, not Edinburgh behind this, Scotland has all the oil it needs in the North Sea, they don't need Libya's oil. Whatever the subject, it's always either to the credit of the UK or the shame of Scotland. Scotland has been the scapegoat long enough, it is time credit was given where due for Macasskill's decision. Perhaps everyday past his three months he lives, one doctor should sit in his jail cell, as an example to any other physician willing to lie to get mass murderers out of prison. This is one reason capital punishment is looked favorable upon, not for vengeance, but to make sure killers never plot from within or set foot outside prison wallls again, to protect the public and the witnesses that help solve the crimes. Overdosing on omega-3 is a REALLY hard thing to do, so don't worry about that. In fact, for some conditions fairly high doses are necessary for the benefits of fish oil to kick in at all. Most doctors would say that you should be getting 1000mg of EPA and DHA each (they're the source of fish oil's potency) daily, so see how much your capsules contain and figure it out from there. Humans typically need about 2000-3000 mg of omega-3 fats (such as those in the fish oil) a day to achieve the full nutritive effect. Two or three pills a day should be fine for a woman of your age. You could also eat walnuts or incorporate flax seeds or flax seed powder into things if you want to get a little extra. There aren't many serious consequences to taking high doses of omega-3 fat except that your blood will be less likely to clot. If your blood pressure is high then this probably wouldn't be such a terrible effect.

i am currently taking omega 3 fish oil pills and at first i only took 1 a day and saw results but i read the bottle and it said take one or two pills so i started taking two and its been better i feel a lot better and much more fresher in the morning. after seeing how good they were i took 3 a day and the next day i started break out in a rash. i thought it was just me getting bit by a bug or something but i tried it a gain and the same thing happened. but the doctor gave you good advice because oil pills are good for lowering blood pressure and overall health. but i advise you not to take to many

Overdosing on omega-3 is a REALLY hard thing to do, so don't worry about that. In fact, for some conditions fairly high doses are necessary for the benefits of fish oil to kick in at all. Due to the increasing concern over 'peak oil' it is logical to assume that this discovery is nothing more than a lie in order to quell the increasing tension peak oil and the energy crisis presents.
It seems too good to be true, convenient almost.
Seeing as how the layperson would not be able to identify whether or not this discovery actually exists, it would be very easy for the government to manufacture this lie to maintain order.

I'm not an oil expert but recently Brazil has made a huge offshore oil discovery. The Chinese are drilling off Cuba in international waters and within two hundred miles of our coastline. Mexico has found oil off shore. Seems to me that BP shouldn't have any trouble locating oil. The only people seeming to have trouble finding oil is the U.S. and only because the stupid greenies in this country don't want us to drill offshore because they can't enjoy the view with oil rigs that they can't see on the horizon. There is no alternative fuel to oil right now or even in the near future. We need domestic oil and if we continue on our path of not drilling for oil, we will increasingly be beholden to people who hate us for our energy. But then, I suppose that's what libs want anyway.
I think that somehow the world energy cartel will parlay this into a justification on why oil prices will skyrocket again. They'll claim that the sudden potential supply will cause major producers to pull back on their output. Then the prices will be so high and profits will be so huge that there will be no reason to release the new oil into the market. And there it will sit...in the imaginations of the rich oil men.
I don't why else all these countries are spending billions looking and drilling for oil in the gulf, maybe because of the decades of instability in the middle east where we get our oil from now?
Besides, we currently have the largest oil reserve in the form of shale on the planet right now and it is only a matter of time when the middle east oil wells go dry, we'll start extracting oil from our shales and where will we be then?

Have you seen the new BP Oil ads on tv? It's a cartoonish one with four babies driving a car. So what they are trying to promote is gasoline use not only by those of legal driving age, but they want to see infants behind the wheel, using up that ole precious gas. You know darn good and well babies will see this commercial, and while their parents are sleeping late on a Saturday morning, sneak out and pick up their little toddler friends and just have a hayday on the road. You must continue to use an obsolete and inefficient propulsion technology, because EV technology just isn't mature enough (we insist, really) or cheap enough (because we buy up as many patents as we can to keep the prices high) for electric vehicles to be manufactured or used. But really we'd lose so much more money because electric motors are so darn reliable and cars would hardly use anywhere near as much oil products, etc. etc. Besides, babies can't drive electric vehicles. Electricity is too dangerous for them, among some other things or something.

With the gas prices sky-rocketing and the latest BP Oil incident, there are rumors floating around that the good old USA may have to open up the National Oil Reserve to help relieve the burden that the lack of preventative maintenance by BP Oil has caused.
My question comes from the notion that if the oil company is at fault, will they replenish the suppy that is deleted for FREE? I believe that they should be held accountable. NO...If the US releases oil from our reserves, the oil companies that get the oil have to PAY us for it at fair market value. It is not a gift...it is a cushion in the supply. I personally dont think they will need to open the reserves. Saudi Arabia and Mexico have already said that they will increase production to make up for any shortfall due to this disruption. Crude oil is probably not the only asset BP has control over which would add to their bottom line. Also, as you may have noticed, the price of crude oil is rising by the barrell every day. It's not like we don't have oil, whether or not they can legal drill for it is another story (such as the debate over Alaskan drilling rights), it's all about supply and demand. We demand it so they supply it, making a nice little profit on the way.

That is a little simplistic for oil since there is a group in the middle east called OPEC that regulates how much oil it will sell and that way they can regulate the prices. This could come back to bite them too though, if they hold back too much oil for too long we will get fed up with expensive gas and look for other methods, sort of like what people are doing now with riding motorcycles more and driving hybrids to save gas. I think that there is more of a shortage in oil than anyone says and in just a few years we will have to find an entirely different fuel (ethanol, Hydrogen, etc.) when that happens the big oil companies will either change also or go out of business, don't plan on them making 19Billion $ then.

In the case of BP as most of their operations are based outside the UK they would probably move their head office and domicile to a more tax friendly regimes, taking a decent amount of jobs with them.
If the law said they had to pay they would have to pay though, but it's probably got more long-term negatives than positives.

Exercise, weightloss, and the DASH diet is the way to go for lowering blood pressure without the use of drugs.

I have drank vinegar when I had a bad headache and my pressure was up and the pain stopped; I didn't take my bp again but I believe it did go down. However, when cooking certain foods as pork, I add vinegar and I notice that my BP does not rise. People I have discussed this with --- one nurse -- said that the vinegar on foods is even worse but I stick with it when I prepare ham, ribs, etc and I notice I do not get headaches --- maybe because my pressure did not rise --- all headaches are not symptoms of hypertension ---- sometimes there are no symptoms at all of hypertension that's why it's called the silent killer.

Hi. I do not have a collage education. I want to work on the computer at any time I want. I wanted to work in the Alternative Fuels section. I want to make at least $100,000. You could try being an operator on the refinery.. (turning the valves and following the flow of oil)
You could make $100,000+
You wont need a college education, but you can't be a dummy.
They are going to give you a lot of tests before you can even apply.
But I got a job at a major oil company and make great money.
Why don't you look at Sunoco?

You may want to take another class to write properly... LOL. Just kidding. I know plenty of people who have gone to work for refineries straight out of high school. Like the other answerer said, there will be many test to take before you get hired. The test will include common sense test, a verbal interview, stamina test, drug test, just to name a few.
