Most of that ';huge'; profit that Hillary and other non-expert Liberals complain about comes from their operations outside of the Unite States.





So, basically, Hillary wants to tax Exxon on the money that they earned in the North Sea and Africa while BP, Shell, Total, etc. don't get nailed by liberals since they are not US based companies.

They are called tariffs. It was the main source of government income until the 20th Century.





It's tax on foreign corporations that want to do business in the US.

While Hillary can use tariffs, the problem with that idea is that the host countries would file a complaint with the WTO. This could also lead to same host countries then putting tariffs on many of our exports thus causing a trade war.


Also, these same tariffs will passed through as part of the price, therefore guess who will actually paying it-the consumers.


When will liberals under stand the basic rule of economic. It is ';supply and demand';.


If you want a real life lesson in supply and demand, you only have to look at the former Soviet Union and Cuba. Why did people have to wait in lines to buy a pound of sausage? Simple, where was the motivation to produce more? There wasn't any as you could only sell it for what it cost you to make or less.


This basic rule applies to health care. If you remember the English comedian Benny Hill, on his program he was always making fun of the British socialized health care system. To take this even farther, why do many doctors in the US along the Canadian border have many Canadian patients if the system is so wonderful. Think about it without trying to polarizing it with your political outlook.
