Don't freak out. It is not ten dollars. It is not a conspiracy. These things happen. It is just that ANY disruption or perceived disruption is going to make oil prices go higher.Can you say BP.. They are making the price of oil jump ten dollars. Because of a pipe line needs work..?
The price wasn't that exactly at it's alltime low before this problem.
The market is just looking for excuses to drive the price up, it's been going on for a wile now. I wouldn't be surprised if the oiltraders learn that one of the petroldrivers would be sick at home because of a sore toe the price would go up too.
Yeah, it caused a new spike in oil prices.. closing down one of the major US fields. Nothing can be done about it though.. needs maintenance, and had to be done eventually.. if not next year?? At that time, oil might be double..
